Whatever you do, Register as a Drone Pilot
In 2020 the CAA made it mandatory for pilots to register with them. There is simple test that includes the training and is free. If you are flying for a company they will need to register as an operator, if you are flying for your own purposes you my need to register as the operator. The operator registration number needs to be displayed on the drone. Further information about registering is available on the CAA website . I suggest also reading up on the current regulations as you may also need to pass a Certificate of Competency depending on the drone you fly.
